Andrew started The Optimal Health Lab, a multidisciplinary
healthcare business, with his sister Lauren in late 2016. By May 2018
they had opened a purpose-built facility in Eltham. Andrew completed
a business degree at La Trobe University and has used these skills as
a baseline to support the business to grow into a successful clinic with
7 clinical staff and 4 admin staff, seeing around 200 clients a week –
within 14 months.
Andrew approaches his job with innovation and a genuine passion to
allow his team to flourish in their skills and deliver healthcare
according to the values of the Optimal Health Lab. With Lauren, he
works 7 days a week to enable the growth of the business and they
love supporting the town where they grew up. Nillumbik recognises
that Andrew’s passion, innovation and true care for his team make
him a perfect candidate for the Young Business Achiever Awards.

At such a young age, Jake has a maturity beyond his years. He treats
his work with the respect and discipline that one treats their own
business. The term “Work” is a misnomer, as it’s not how he sees the
place he goes to when he leaves home each day. Jake is an
extremely passionate and energetic member of the Air Bar team at
Delaware North.
While his main responsibilities are at Air Bar, he’s always looking to
take on greater responsibilities and challenges. Jake’s passion lies in
the field of training and development. When the opportunity arose to
train and mentor a group of young people who were desperate to
enter the hospitality industry, Jake immediately wanted to take this on.
He has a selfless attitude and is motivated by watching the people he
has trained grow in confidence and ability.
