The Northern Business Achievement Awards

Over 200 people from industry, local government and education attended the second in the series of NBAA Breakfast's for 2010 at Rydges, Bell City on June 3rd  which were hosted by Moreland City Council and the Shire of Nillumbik.

Guest speaker, Kenneth Davidson, Journalist and Social Commentator spoke on "Tackling the Big Issues: Water - Desalination - And More".  

A Business Excellence Panel was featured comprising four of the NBAA Award nominees for 2010:

• Genovese Coffee, represented by Adam Genovese, Sales Manager 
• Middle East Bakeries, represented by George Abou-Haila, Managing Director 
• Going Green Solutions, represented by Lucinda Flynn, Director 
• Valley Community Financial Services, represented by Barry Henwood, Chairman 

In addition, two Young Business Achievers Matthew Barnes, MODEC and Sasha Berkefeld, Shire of Nillumbik were presented with certificates recognising their excellence in business to date.  Students and teachers from Brunswick Secondary College and Eltham College were also in attendance to experience business networking and strategies.
