The Northern Business Achievement Awards

The first in the series of Northern Business Achievement Awards (NBAA) Breakfasts for 2012 was held on Thursday 1st March and was hosted by Moreland City Council and Nillumbik Shire Council and attracted around 200 people. Guest Speaker Harold Mitchell AC, Executive Chairman, Aegis Media Pacific providing a stirring presentation to a large audience of business, education and government. He colourfully described how well Australia is performing on the world and the opportunities for business growth and development. Harold explained that you can succeed on the international stage from Melbourne's north without having to move to Sydney or New York. 

The NBAA Awards are a partnership of industry, education, local and state government and decision makers across Melbourne’s north and align with NORTH Link's aims of economic development and marketing and promotion of Melbourne's north, by recognising local business achievement, encouraging innovation and providing valuable networks and opportunities for enterprise growth and development. 

These business breakfasts have been created and designed to:

  • acknowledge and celebrate the successes of Small-Medium enterprises (SME's)
  • offer opportunities for valuable networking
  • learn and exchange ideas
